Chapter 1 reflection

Before digging deep into chapter 1 I first gave it a quick glance, and i was surprise by how long it was and then I thought to myself oh man this is going to be boring! With that up in my mind I started to read I was actually surprised by how informed it was. It gave me some much information about self representation that it actually turned out interesting. However, I should state that one the first few page was interesting but not the rest, where she when in to details of each method of self representation. What interesting is that these are something that is completely new to me, or some thing that I have never thought of in this way. Like I never thought of drawing can be a way that people represent them self back in the days. For the longest time I thought people just draw because they just want to kill time. Another thing that was fascinating for me was the connection between the modern self representation and the self representation in the past. One example is the art or the visual representation, how slowly art works are turning into something digital. In the end, I think chapter 1 is a really fascinating thing to read about, makes you realized how the technology or internet has change the way people think of each other.
