Before I even started to read the article I wasn’t really interested in reading it. The title is not fascinating, because I am like the person where i want to figure out things my self rather then other people telling me how they feel about certain things. But as an assignment I am suppose to read through it, when i finished reading it there wasn’t much that was interesting for me. However there were a few point that the author made that I do agree upon. one statement that the author gave was not citing where a sources is coming from, the example that the author talked about is adding in a quotation without first introducing it to the audience. He said that if you don’t introduce it you would not end up with connecting with your audience. this is something that I can connect with. When I read an article and I come across a statement or anything that is given to back up the writers statement it could be a survey or a experiment or graph, what ever it is there has to be something that I can go look into so i can believe the point that the writer is make rather is it is valid or not. Other wise if the writer dose not cite the source, like the author said the writer is going to loss their audience because if you do not believe in that the article is talking about then what is the point of reading it? Pretty much that is the only part in the article that had caught my attention, because really other wise I am not to worried about ways that people cite sources as long as there is a title or website to where the information came from I am perfectly fine, not to the point where he said with the title and page number and author and dates and where it was published. all I need is the title and over the past years there really hasn’t been any place that had failed on that part. Do not get me wrong the article is amazing but just not interesting more me, this is a amazing source for anyone that is writing a formal paper. So I recommend if you are this article is something for you but if you are just reading it for fun save yourself some time and go on.
