Like I said in the commentary man when I had finish reading the article I was shocked by how much filtering that is happening around me and how much I am using filtering.
If we stop for a minute and think about it isn’t everything around us has been filter before?. From the definition that Rettberg provided on page 21 filter is when something is being removed. hasn’t everything around us has been filter or is being filtered? From the cars that we drive or from the food that we eat or to the movies that we watched. After reading the article I started thinking so what has been filter around me? when I got into my car it came to me that isn’t everything filter? like the car it must has been through multiply phases of design before coming to the model that can be accepted by the fans? or like the food that we get from a restaurant it must of been carefully plated to the standards that people has set for food. even for fast food restaurants the wrappers of the item must of gone through must phase before confirming what will be printed. even the way that your house is built first it must go through the government center then to having the right design then getting in contact with the power water companies then adjust to the information given these are all filter that will effect your final project.
Now lets talked about the filter that applies to me everyday. like i said in the commentary there are so many filter done of every picture that i take. while taking a picture there is multiple modes that i have to choose from the after taking the picture i have to adjust the lighting there is just so many things that has to go through a filter before coming up with a final product that you think can be aspect by the internet.
In the end, If we slow down and think about the things that Rettberg had said in the article you will be surprised by how much it applies to you and actually how much you filter in your everyday life.
